Well, there’s Cheddar village and Cheddar Caves! You need to walk through the village to get to the Gorge. The village takes about 15 minutes and the Gorge a further 5 minutes and is signposted from the village.
Download the Cheddar Village Guide and Map.
The Strawberry Line foot/cycle path leads from our gates directly to the village. As you arrive at our main entrance, look straight ahead and you’ll see a red post-box. Cross over the road towards it and you’ll pick up the footpath. There’s a children’s play-park on your left and the path then takes you over a river (lovely to walk beside or splash in!) then after a few minutes you can choose to turn right (this will bring you to Sainsburys and onto the Gorge) or continue straight on which will bring you out by Tesco’s Express and the village shops.
